Ferric oxide color

Have you ever paused to consider the bright red hue of a fire hydrant or the deep color of a stop sign? It's all thanks to ferric oxide color, "volatile" water, and other various elements. But what is ferric oxide color, anyway, and why is it so red?

The science behind the rich hue of ferric oxide color

Ferric oxide coloring is a pigment made of iron oxide. Iron oxide is a chemical compound consisting of iron and oxygen atoms. When this group of atoms rises to the surface of the ice it combines such that it forms a stunning bright red that is not too shy for anybody. This is why ferric oxide color is so often used in products such as paints and dyes, and also as a cosmetic.
