Product Description
Diatomite is a kind of biogenic siliceous rock, its chemical composition is mainly SiO2, usually accounting for more than 80%, up to 94%, containing a small amount of Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO and organic matter. The density of diatomite is 1.9-2.3 g/cm³, the pile density is 0.34-0.65 g/cm³, the specific surface area is 40-65 m²/g, the pore volume is 0.45-0.98 cm³/g, the water absorption rate is 2-4 times of its own volume, and the melting point is 1650 ℃-1750℃. Special porous structures can be observed under electron microscope.
