Description

Product Description
Rubber particles mainly originate from two sources: natural rubber plants and recycled rubber products.
Natural Rubber Plants
The prime natural source is the Hevea brasiliensis tree. When the bark of this tree is incised in a process called rubber tapping, a milky - white liquid known as latex oozes out. Latex contains about one - third water and one - third rubber particles in a colloidal suspension. After collection, the latex is filtered, washed, and treated with acid to make the rubber particles coagulate. Then it's pressed into slabs or sheets and dried. Besides Hevea brasiliensis, there are other plants like guayule and certain dandelions that produce latex which can also be processed into rubber, though they contribute a much smaller share globally.
Recycled Rubber Products
Another major source is the recycling of waste rubber materials. Scrap tires, rubber hoses, old conveyor belts, and other rubber -based items are shredded and ground. These recycled rubber products are first sorted by type and quality. Then, they are put through specialized machinery to break them down into small particles. This recycling process not only reduces waste but also provides an economical source for rubber particles used in applications such as playground surfaces, rubber - modified asphalt, and sports track construction.
